the simpsons movie: what happened to alf clausen?

"Clausen has scored The Simpsons for 17 seasons, and in the process has logged over 12,000 separate cues. He has received two Emmy awards, three Annie awards, three International Monitor Awards, eighteen additional Emmy nominations and three additional Annie nominations for his work with The Simpsons."
It seems wrong that Alf Clausen isn't involved in the Simpsons movie.  Instead, it -- like all movies -- is being scored by Hanz Zimmer.  His work has served the show well, often providing the "straight man" for the shows zaniest moments.  I'm willing to give Al Jean, Matt Groening and company the benefit of the doubt, but it still seems wrong.
