BOOKMARK
Violet Blue's recent post about ethical blogging is a must-read. Years of running linkfilter.net have provided me with numerous examples of the wrong way to reference internet content. Partly becasue of that, and partly because I have infinite respect for anyone who creates content, I try very hard to be an ethical blogger. But, Violet's post has inspired me to redouble my efforts.
Her post goes beyond ethics, and provides tips for clear, concise, and useful blog posts. This is where I start to fail a bit. I'm nice to other bloggers, but I might not extentd the same courtesies to my readers.
At any rate, it's a must read for anyone who wants to exist within any content-generating internet community.
(the page i'm linking to is completely safe for work, but other pages on the site may be nsfw.)
