BOOKMARK
It is fascinating to see the connections the human brain can make. It's inspiring to see these connections turned into art. The best mashups rise above mere novelty. They rearrange the accepted and make it into something completely new. They are descendents of the cut-up and of the dada, fluxus and fluxshoe movements.
Art is still alive. It's still new and fresh and challenging. We just don't notice it anymore because it's everywhere. We don't buy it and hang it on our wall as much as we absorb it on a near constant basis. It is less prominent, but more pervasive. It is more important to constant connoisseurs to separate the good art from the bad than it is to separate the high art from the low. And I would make the argument that this clip is good art...
...and the pinnacle of kirk/spock slash fiction.

i watched this a few weeks back. all I can say is this. That is wrong on so many levels.
and just to clarify, I'm talking about the clip being wrong on so many levels. Not what you wrote. Which I highly agree with.
i wonder if this was movitated by the slash fiction angle...or if that happened organically.
