quickie: this nasty bit of software "protection" has been called a "nefarious Rootkit/Virus" by Cnet and "Anti-copying malware" by Boing Boing. Instead of responding to criticism, the company just threatens to sue. That's enough to assure anyone that this is *not* something you want running on your computer. And that's exactly why they don't tell you it's being installed.
